Research Institute for a UConn public / private partnership links upper and lower campus developments with public amenities and spaces that serve as a new campus entry and gathering space. The sculpted rear wall of the lobby, extending upward 4 stories, employs form, lighting and geometry to create an implied sense of motion that energizes interior and exterior public spaces.
